Ultrasonography

The doctor has been working as a certified radiologist since 2017. He gained his experience working at RAKUS clinic "Gaiļezers", where he specialised in emergency and vascular radiology. He has also specialised in US examinations of abdominal organs, thyroid glands and testicles.

As the doctor himself emphasises, modern medicine requires continuous updating of knowledge and skills, therefore the specialist regularly participates in international congresses and courses. He has become a member of the European and Latvian Association of Radiologists and the Latvian Ultrasonography Association.

Maija Radziņa has been a certified diagnostic radiologist since 2006. Learned various imaging diagnostic methods (radiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonography) during her radiology residency in Latvia and during her internship at university clinics in London (UK), Boston (USA), Graz (Austria). Regularly improves knowledge at conferences and courses in Latvia and Europe. Since 2011 she has been the head of the Latvian Association of Ultrasonographers, a member of the Board of the Latvian Association of Radiologists, a member of the Latvian Professional Associations of Musculoskeletal Radiology and others. Maija regularly organises continuing education courses for doctors in ultrasonography and participates in the daily training of students and residents in radiology at the Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital. Diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired heart pathologies in children from birth to 18 years, fetal echocardiography. The doctor is a member of the European Association of Pediatric Cardiologists, the Latvian Association of Pediatric Cardiologists, the Latvian Echocardiography Society, and the Latvian Pediatrics Association. In 2006, she defended her doctoral dissertation "Echocardiographic and hemodynamic assessment of coronary circulation in children with congenital heart defects." She is the author of numerous scientific publications. Associate professor at the RSU Department of Pediatrics - involved in the training of students, residents, and family doctors in pediatric cardiology. She is the head of the study program in the specialty of pediatric cardiology.

Studied at the Latvian Medical Academy. After graduating from the academy, she worked at the P. Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital in the cardiothoracic surgery center as a cardiologist. She specialized in the diagnosis of echocardiographic examinations for patients with valvular heart diseases, cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, cardiomyopathies, and other heart conditions. At the clinic, she consults patients with heart diseases and performs echocardiographic examinations to evaluate heart function and diagnose conditions.
