From 1997 to 2014 worked at the Centre for Pulmonary and Allergic Diseases, Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital. Currently, his main place of practice is Consilium Medicum Ltd. Since 2008, senior researcher at the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Medicine (now Institute of Cardiology and Regenerative Medicine), University of Latvia. Since 2014 he has been teaching students at the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Latvia. In 1995 he graduated from the Latvian Medical Academy, Faculty of General Medicine. In 1996-1998 he studied in residency in internal medicine. In 1999-2002 completed full-time doctoral studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Latvia. In 2003 defended the degree of Doctor of Medicine at the University of Latvia. Doctor provides consultations in Latvian, Russian and English languages.
